A House watchdog committee wants former Governance and Ethics permanent secretary John Githongo to shed light into 17 scandals it is set to investigate. Nyakach MP Peter Odoyo, a member of the Public Accounts Committee, said the team was keen to meet Mr Githongo as soon as he returns to Kenya.

In a statement, Mr Odoyo said PAC held discussions with Mr Githongo in London during investigations into the Anglo Leasing scandal, culminating in the tabling of a report before Parliament on March 28, this year. Mr Odoyo said there are more scandals which have been subjected to special audit by PAC and which require Mr Githongo's technical input.

The MP said in two months, PAC would be looking into the Audit queries raised by ministries. Mr Githongo. Who is in Britain, told the BBC in an interview that he would be returning to Kenya.
